Ingredients:
1 8oz box of House Autry Seafood Breader (or 1 cup of seafood breader)
1 egg
24 oz Heineken or Guinness Beer
1 T Garlic Powder
1T Old Bay
1 c self rising flour (seasoned with old bay and seasoning salt)
1.5 lbs Cod Fillets (Wild Caught from Harris Teeter or Wholefoods)
Oil for frying
Directions:
Heat oil in deep fryer
In a large bowl, put breader mix, garlic powder, Old Bay, and egg and whisk in beer slowly and beat until smooth.
Drop desired size pieces of Cod into the mixture.
Once oil is hot, remove the fillets from the beer batter and dredge in seasoned flour then drop gently into the hot oil.
Fry until crispy. Fillets will float to the top when done.
