Ingredients:
3 cups minced parsley
¼ cup carrots, chopped very fine
¼ cup shredded mozzarella or parmesan cheese
2 tbs. olive oil
2 ¾ cups whole wheat flour
2 tbs. bran
2 tsp. baking powder
½ to 1 cup water
Directions:
Preheat over to 350 degrees and lightly grease a large baking sheet. Stir together parsley, carrots, cheese and oil. Combine all the dry ingredients, then add to veggies. Gradually add ½ cup of water, mixing well (the dough should be moist, but not wet). Knead for one minute and roll dough out to ½ inch thickness.
Using a dog bone shaped cookie cutter or a drinking glass, cut out shapes and transfer them to the baking sheet. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until the dough has browned and hardened slightly.
Serving size: 1 bone per 50 pound dog or for smaller dogs, cut the bone in half. Bone appetite!
